I thoroughly enjoy planning and crafting for my children’s birthday parties! Here are a few of my favorites, along with my go to checklist to maintain sanity while planning a birthday party! My kids birthdays are only 4 weeks apart (born 23 months apart), so a checklist and excel spreadsheet are a must to keep me on target and budget!

Construction / Bulldozer Party
My son is REALLY into trucks, bulldozers (and all the other ones that I don’t know the names of) and of course getting dirty, so when it came time for him to choose his birthday party theme, he quickly decided on a construction party.

Dog Adoption Party
My two kids love to host parties almost as much as I do, so when they kept asking about our family dog’s birthday I just knew what they wanted 🙂  Because we adopted our dog, Brownie, we didn’t have any idea of his birthday date or even the month….

Trolls Birthday Party
Biggest, baddest, loudest party ever! Even “Cloud Guy” made an appearance!

Paw Patrol Birthday Party (Girl)
Paw Patrol is such a fun and easy party to put together! From dog bowls to Scooby Snacks, there are plenty of ideas online and products available to put this party together on a reasonable budget. Here’s how I did mine for under $150!

Under the Sea Birthday Party
Cookie “oysters”, sand pudding and a treasure chest pinata were just the beginning of the fun and creative projects for this bright and cheerful party! All decorations and printables were created at home and assembled over a few weeks.

Southern Sweetheart 1st Birthday Party
As I was looking for ideas to celebrate my daughter’s first birthday, I was inundated with many “Texas” or “western” themes using bright colors and mostly pink. Although very young, I knew an overly pink themed party wasn’t right for my daughter’s personality, as she was already showing a spunky, independent and unique personality all her own.

Minnie Mouse (red and white) Birthday Party
One of my favorite cartoons as kid was Mickey Mouse, and with the new generation of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, my daughter also shares a new love of Minnie Mouse (as do most toddlers)!  So for her 2nd birthday party, we decided on Minnie Mouse….but red and white Minnie Mouse. Great idea until I started looking for party supplies and all I could find was pink.

Cowboy 1st Birthday Party
We kept a similar theme for my son’s first birthday party as my (now) 3 year old daughter’s “southern sweetheart“, and went with Cowboy for his first birthday party!

Girl Superhero Birthday Party
My daughter is full of spunk and varied interest, so for her third birthday party she wanted it to be superhero themed! At the time, there were minimal party supplies online for girl superhero parties, so I had to get creative with the color scheme and decorations, making about 90% of everything myself….on a budget.

Children’s Birthday Party Checklist
I’ve been asked multiple times how long it takes me to plan and create my kid’s birthday parties. So here’s my secret….. it doesn’t take too much time if you get organized and stay organized from the very beginning.
